USA Today's early MVP odds snapshot listed Josh Allen around +550 at DraftKings and +600 at FanDuel, with Lamar Jackson and Drake Maye discussed among the early contenders, while noting that reigning MVP Matthew Stafford was priced at +1400 at both DraftKings and FanDuel shortly after the Super Bowl.

Early Super Bowl odds are not "predictions." They're a mixture of power ratings, narrative expectations, and (most importantly) what sportsbooks believe the public will bet before training-camp information arrives. If you only bet underdogs all season, you're making a statement about market pricing: you believe favorites are systematically overpriced relative to true probability. This can be a rational approach in hockey because (a) the sport has meaningful variance, and (b) public bettors often prefer favorites, which can create shading. But "only underdogs" is still too blunt to be automatically profitable, and it can be psychologically brutal.
